Samantha Wright, LPC

Counselor

My name is Samantha Wright and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. I work with individuals and couples ages 18 and older, providing a supportive and collaborative space to explore life’s challenges, better understand themselves, and build meaningful change. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and person-centered counseling through a trauma-informed lens. I believe that each person’s experiences and story are unique, and I strive to understand how those experiences shape the way clients think, feel, and navigate the world. Together, we explore patterns, identify personal strengths and values, and develop practical strategies to support both emotional and physical well-being.

I have a special interest in working with young adults and couples navigating life transitions. For individuals, that could mean adjusting to college or college athletics, entering the workforce, exploring career paths, navigating changes in friendships, strengthening romantic relationships, and many more. These experiences can bring uncertainty, shifting expectations, and questions about identity, purpose, and what comes next. I enjoy helping clients explore their personal values, develop a stronger sense of self, and navigate change with greater confidence and self-understanding.

In my work with couples, I strive to create a space where both partners feel heard, understood, and supported in exploring their relationship. I take a collaborative, person-centered approach while incorporating CBT and foundational concepts and resources from the Gottman Method to help couples better understand their relationship dynamics. In sessions, we may explore communication patterns, attachment styles, practice skills for navigating conflict, and find intentional ways to strengthen friendship, trust, and emotional connection. My goal is to help couples develop a deeper understanding of one another, build practical skills they can apply outside of sessions, and create a relationship that reflects their shared values and individual needs.

Whether you are working through a challenging transition, strengthening communication skills, building connection in a relationship, or exploring who you are and who you want to become, my goal is to help you feel understood, build on your existing strengths, and find a path forward that feels authentic to you.
